Current Under-21 Aston Villa and England Lionesses footballer, and former pupil Millie Round, made a truly inspirational return to Five Ways, on Thursday 6th July.
A special assembly, an absolute avalanche of autograph signing, and full participation in class football matches throughout the day from Millie, made it a really special experience for our aspiring footballers and pupils at Five Ways.
Millie proved to be an outstanding role model throughout the day, and we look forward to her returning to school during the next academic year.
Millie is pictured here with some of our footballers from the Year 5/6 girls’ squad –

In 2017, Mr Redpath wrote, ‘Representing Staffordshire, we were up against teams from 10 other counties / regions, ranging from Humberside in the north to Worcestershire in the south to Shropshire in the west. Placed in a league of 6, our results were as follows: Finishing on 11 points, with inspirational captain Millie Round scoring 5 goals and Grace Whittall scoring 1, our girls qualified for the semi-finals. Having given it absolutely everything, we lost 1-0 to the eventual winners, St George’s Junior School from Shropshire.’ Thank you Millie, for being such an inspiration to pupils at Five Ways! You are a credit to society and we are very proud of your achievements!
