On Monday 10^th February, Year 1 children were joined by Mr Tony Charles who visited Five Ways.  He completed a ‘Magic Maths Workshop’ with each Year 1 class.  The children thoroughly enjoyed the maths activities and liked showing off their ever growing mathematical knowledge!  Mr Charles also showed the children some fantastic magic tricks.  Children revisited their learning of counting, repeating patterns, counting in groups, 2D and 3D shapes and their properties, positional and directional language, and much more!  Children even learned a maths magic trick that they can show their parents at home!  We would like to thank Year 1 parents for your support in raising sponsor money that helped to fund this enrichment activity.
