On behalf of the school community I would like to thank the pupils and staff involved in the preparation and development of our ‘Reflection Area’ at the front of the school dedicated to the memory of Miss Samantha Phillips. On Monday 7th June, pupils in Miss Fereday’s class performed a poem and sang a song entitled ‘This Little Light of Mine’ in front of Miss Phillips’ family and a small number of staff as part of a memorial service. The children’s performance was outstanding and they were a credit to Five Ways. At the service, we were proud to open our ‘Reflection Area’ officially. I have seen many parents, grandparents and children visiting the area, and admiring the memorial pebbles, bench and plants in the garden. I would like to thank everyone for their compliments about how beautiful the Reflection Area is and the way in which the school has marked Miss Phillips’ memory.
